The Larkin football team opened its game against St. Charles North Friday with its best drive of the season. Hunter.Unluckily for the Royals, that did nothing but North Starlets on notice, and they responded — replicating that feat eight times en route to a 55-7 Upstate Eight Sea victory at Elgin High School’s Memorial Field.

The Lake Park football team’s defense wasn’t textbook. But it was firing on all cylinders and played a massive role Friday night in hammering host Metea Valley 21-12.

A week ago Tim Crom would have been an unlikely hero for the Streamwood football team. However, with windy conditions limiting the passing game and a running back corps depleted by injuries the Sabres turned to the third string senior to lead their running attack on Friday night. Crom went far beyond the call of duty, rushing for one hundred fifty four yards on thirty four carries and a touchdown to lead Streamwood to a 22-15 Upstate Eight Sea win over Elgin on homecoming night at Millennium Field.

With twenty seconds left in the game and Hoffman Estates driving, Schaumburg compelled a wide-throw on fourth-and-1 to seal 26-22 victory.

The Larkin football team opened its game against St. Charles North Friday with its best drive of the season. Twelve plays covering eighty yards in three minutes, twenty eight seconds, culminating in a snazzy 10-yard pass from junior quarterback David Hibbler to senior wideout A.J. Hunter.Unluckily for the Royals, that did nothing but North Starlets on notice, and they responded — replicating that feat eight times en route to a 55-7 Upstate Eight Sea victory at Elgin High School’s Memorial Field.

The Lake Park football team’s defense wasn’t textbook. But it was firing on all cylinders and played a enormous role Friday night in striking host Metea Valley 21-12.
