Five. Skoda Rapid/Volkswagen Vento:

These two cars share the same underpinnings and share the same engines as well. Of course, the two sedans look and feel different. The trim and equipment levels are different as well. The Volkswagen Vento is the more premium looking and feeling of the two while Skoda is suggesting some truly good after sales and service packages with the Rapid. This gives the Rapid a slight edge as far as value for money is worried. There is enough kit in both the cars and the build quality is superb too. Both the Rapid and the Vento get 1.6-litre petrol engines and 1.5-litre diesel engines. One can also choose from a 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. There are fifteen model trims for the Skoda Rapid and the prices embark at ₹ 8.02 lakh and go on till ₹ 12.32 lakh. Similarly, the Vento has ten model trims and the prices begin at ₹ 8.26 lakh and go on till ₹ 12.71 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Read our review of the Skoda Rapid here.
