The Supreme Court of India has extended the ban on the sale of large capacity (read 2000cc and above), diesel cars in Delhi till the end of April. The three-judge bench led by the Chief Justice of India, TS Thakur, said that it would lift the ban only if carmakers agree to a one-time environment cess.

Toyota recently exposed their plan of upping the safety quotient in all their cars. Under this initiative, the company plans to equip all their cars with automatic emergency braking by 2017.

With the spree of price hikes post the Union Budget 2016-17, we weren`t expecting too many discounts this month. At best, may be few manufacturers suggesting the cars at existing prices. Exposed as a concept car at the Paris Motor Showcase and the Tokyo Motor Display last year, Toyota is expected to showcase the production version of the C-HR crossover at the upcoming Detroit Motor Showcase.

Toyota India ended two thousand fifteen with annual sales of almost 1.Four lakh cars and by doing so, the company recorded a cumulative growth of five per cent compared to the same period last year. For the record, Toyota sold 139,815 units in 2015, as against 132,673 units sold in 2014.

A group of next-generation Toyota Innova MPVs have been spotted on the roads of Indonesia ahead of their global debut on November 23. The cars, spotted during their loading on to a transport trailer indicating that deliveries to dealerships have begun.
